Role:
Business Development Manager, (Field Sales) London Based, UK sales territory,
The majority of clients are based in London so driving is not necessary.
- Professional full sales cycle B2B field sales role.
- New business
- This includes managing the opportunity pipeline, working closely with SDRs and marketing whilst also self-generating new leads, finding creative ways of getting potential customers attention.
- Meet new customers and negotiate contracts.
- Demonstrating the solution via online demos /video calls / Face to face.
- Responsibility for achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Account managing new customers once they are on board to generate further revenue
The Business Development Manager will be provided with everything they need to be successful including training and development, the right tools for the job and the right environment. The sales team is well established and organised for success, including structured calling times twice a week and attending exhibitions and trade shows in the UK (approximately 2 a month).

Person:
We are looking for the right person and are open to applications from anyone who thinks that they would excel in this role. However, the ideal Business Development Managerwould have:
- B2B sales – New business experience
- Selling to large corporates
- Worked in an SAAS business
- Tech start-up experience e.g. could be fintech martech or HRtech and understand what makes a startup environment different
- The ability to negotiate effectively on price
- Worked in similar capacity – Full sales cycle, meeting, presenting, closing sales and working with delivery.
- Tenacity - someone who doesn’t give up. Hence we are looking for evidence of sticking at something for several years, whether it may be a job / education / training or something else.
Furthermore, it is highly likely that the successful Business Development Manager candidate will demonstrate:
- A winning attitude and fit with my client’s culture
- Target achievement in a professional B2B sales role over a number of years.
- Understanding of the sales process and pipeline management
- Proven ability / appetite to work in a high activity, high volume, sales role.
- A solid sales approach and methodology
- Ability to do what it takes to hit targets
- Money / commission / career motivated
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and rapport building skills
